'Voyages' by Anita Schwartz

Some leaving home, some going home
Home far beyond the sea: -
O Jesus, deign with us to come
For there is none like Thee.

Thou oft hast sailed o'er the deep
And been caught in a storm
And wearied, hast fall'n asleep
While all else felt alarm.

With Thee on board, should there a squall
Come sudden on the Lake
Well know we, Thou will hear our call
And to our help awake.

If Thou go with us we'll not fear
Where Thou art, there's no ill;
Both wind and wave Thy voice shall hear
Though Thou whisper (Be, still.)

It has been so, it will be so
Now, as in days of yore
If we love Thee, full well we know
Safe shall we reach the shore.

And may it well remember'd be
By us when on the Land
That we from dangers are set free
By Thy Almighty hand.

And should we live or short, or long,
Thee may we keep in mind
And mention make in each day's song
Jesus is always kind.

And Saviour Dear, when we've to come
And cross o'er death's rough sea
Come Thou, and Pilot us safe home
Ever to dwell with Thee. Amen
